The Canaveral Pilots Association announces a change in Co-Chairman beginning on May 1, 2020.  Capt. Brendan McMillin is being replaced by Capt. Richard Grimison as one of the Association’s two Co-Chairmen.  Capt. Ben Borgie remains in his position as Co-Chairman.  This position is the equivalent of a Managing Partner role with responsibility for managing the business and professional affairs of the association. Capt. McMillin has served as Co-Chairman for the past four years. This will be Capt. Grimison’s second term having previously served in this capacity from 2008 to 2011. Capt. Ben Borgie has served as Co-Chairman since 2011.  He is currently also serving a term as President of the Florida Harbor Pilots Association.  The Canaveral Pilots remain committed to providing safe and efficient pilotage and docking services to vessels calling at Port Canaveral and working with our partners at the Canaveral Port Authority, U.S. Coast Guard and other port stakeholders to ensure that the critical maritime supply chain supports the economy in these challenging times. We look forward to serving the cruise line industry not only in their immediate needs in supplying vessels and repatriating crew members, but also when they are able to return the ships to passenger service.
