The Canaveral Pilots Association participated in the Canaveral Port Authority’s Career Day on May 26, 2015 at Port Canaveral.  The Career Day was the culmination of the Port Authority’s participation with Titusville’s Jackson Middle School Ultimate mentoring Program, or JUMP, which ran throughout the past school year.  At the Career Day event, Pilot Richard Grimison gave students and mentors an overview of the Piloting profession including the education requirements and career paths needed to become a State Harbor Pilot.  Students were given the opportunity to board the new Pilot Boat Timucua and learn more about the boat from Pilot Boat Captain Alex Sorice.  Pilot Association Business Director Doug Mutter also participated during mentoring sessions held at Jetty Park following a lunch break and remarks given by Canaveral Port Authority CEO John Walsh.
