The Canaveral Pilots Association recently recognized two of our Pilots for reaching important milestones.  Congratulations to Deputy Pilot Capt. Niall Kennedy on completing the first year of the Deputy Pilot Training Program. He has been issued a permanent Deputy Pilot Certificate by the Florida Board of Pilot Commissioners to continue the program through completion.  The training program is from 2.75 to 3 years and is completed when a deputy Pilot achieves the State Pilot License.

Congratulations to Capt. Steve Gasecki, Senior Pilot with the Canaveral Pilots Association, on completing 25 years of service at Port Canaveral.  Capt. Gasecki began his career at Port Canaveral in October of 1994 after serving aboard U.S. merchant vessels for 13 years including service as an unlimited tonnage Master.
